There are three primary factors when choosing a photographer; style, price, and personality.
- Style – There are many styles such as traditional, photojournalism, candid, formal, etc. Some photographers offer only one style, but most can offer a variety of styles and incorporate them into your wedding day coverage.
- Price – The norm is to spend about 10% of your entire wedding budget on the photographer. Most photographers have packages that will include everything from the coverage to the album and final prints. Some photographers have al la carte pricing where you can select just what you want. Be sure when you compare prices that the packages cover the same items.
- Personality – You will probably be around the photographer more than any other person on your wedding day. You will want to meet with them to see how they present themselves and will be someone that you and your family can get along well with.
